All it needs is a proper cleaning method and drying; it will remain like new. Below are a few options to clean:

1. Dissolve 1 teaspoon salt in 1/2 cup vinegar and add enough to make a paste. Rub onto the brass and leave for 10 minutes, then rinse and buff dry.

2. Combine the juice of half a lemon with a teaspoon of baking soda and stir until it becomes a paste. Apply the paste with a soft cloth. If the tarnish is heavy, let the piece sit with the paste on it for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and dry.

3. Use bio-enzyme as a cleaning soap with a scrubber, and it will be shiny again
